The first of the metal Austrian Army is now available. Perry Miniatures - By Alan and Michael Perry
The uniform these infantry are wearing dates from 1767-1798, however it can be pushed to 1800.
At this time two standards were used per battalion. Grenz Infantry during this period looked like Hungarian infantry, although Grenzers in the Klobuk (tall felt cap) are also on the workbench.
Apart for the major campaigns against the French, these can be used to fight the Austro-Ottoman War 1788-1791 and War of the Bavarian Succession 1778-1779 or Potato War (where not a lot of fighting happened!)
Plastic Austrian infantry are in tooling, there’ll be two sets, German and Hungarian.
